In this year 12th June, 2020 Jharkhand Motion Picture Producers Association (JMPPA) was born for the fulfillment of basic needs of filmmakers in Jharkhand. The Filmmakers from Jharkhand are being talked about everywhere in India. During the past few years, the Jharkhand film Industry has shown an exponential growth in terms of film making. Today it has better access to the market. We strongly believe that Jharkhand government can act as a facilitator and catalyst for growth of this sector. This aspect, coupled with the resilience of the film producers, can help the sector to tide over any difficulties.
Jharkhand is now producing large number of films where JMPPA members’ contributions cannot be overlooked in film-producing sector. .
Our main objective is to “To support and encourage all film makers to produce more and more films in Jharkhand.”

1. To document & spread both history and culture of the state and its tribes through motion picture production.
2. To promote social welfare activities with special emphasis on women empowerment in the domain of film making.
3. To establish and maintain Film Laboratories, film studios etc.
4. To support and encourage all film makers to produce more and more films in Jharkhand.
5. To organize seminars, conferences, film festivals, film marketing, awards etc.
6. To promote and exhibit films.
7. Advocate interests of filmmakers to inform and advice policy making by the Government.
8. To promote the economic interests of its members and encourage thrift and self-help amongst them.
9. To establish and maintain social welfare, recreational and educational institutions.
10. To work as Special Purpose Entity (SPE) for the Government of Jharkhand to generate employment and revenue for the state.
